Peter Alfred DeMuro

Peter Alfred DeMuro, 86, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 18, 2022.Born January 19, 1936, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Alfred and Mary DeMuro. Peter was a graduate of Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, Class of 1955.

He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Peter retired from the City of Wilkes-Barre after 28 years and later worked at International Color Press. He was a member of the Big Band Society, the Wyoming Valley Historical Geological Society, Teamsters Local #401, Italian American Veterans, and the NEPA Art Foundation.

Peter and his wife, Janiece, recently celebrated their 51st Anniversary. Peter is survived by his wife, Janiece; stepson, Mark Puterbaugh and his fiance, Terrilynn Wassel; son, Michael; and grandson, Joshua Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Peter was a very private person and wished to be remembered without fanfare. At Peter's request there will be no calling hours. The family would like to say Thank You to the Doctors and nurses of the IC/ICU of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for taking care of Peter.
