Molly Fogle (Gurick)

Molly Fogle (Gurick) 57, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, in her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born February 9, 1966, in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of Joan Scorey of Wilkes-Barre and the late Stephen J. Gurick Jr.

Molly was a 1984 graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School and Wilkes-Barre Area Vocational Technical School.

She fought extremely hard to beat her diagnosis, never giving up hope for a treatment or time when she felt well enough to go for a walk, go shopping, or be able to participate in regular day to day activities. Molly loved life, family, friends, and her soul mate and partner, Sean.

Molly was a beautiful, vibrant, fun, and friendly person who lit up the room when she entered. She was always the "life of the party" and whose smile and infectious laugh brightened the spirits of all that were around her. She was kind, generous, loyal, and had a heart full of love, compassion, and spirituality. She appreciated nature and loved to watch the birds (especially cardinals), butterflies, and dragonflies as these were her signs of loved ones that have passed. A crazy cat lady as some would say, she adored her two cats Boo and Milo and took care of the neighborhood strays, Potato and Kitty.

Surviving in addition to her mother, Joan Scorey is her companion and best friend, Sean Morton of Wilkes-Barre; brother, Stephen J. Gurick III and his wife, Kimberley of Dushore; sister, Rebecca Scorey of Wilkes-Barre; niece and godchild, Kyana Sowell; nephew, James Reed; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Private funeral services were held by the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.
