Ronald Uravage of Wilkes-Barre passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. Born Aug. 4, 1953, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Edward and Anna Sipus Uravage.
Ron was a 1971 graduate of GAR Memorial High School, Wilkes-Barre. He was employed performing maintenance at the Osterhout Library, Wilkes-Barre, and Mohegan Pennsylvania, Plains Twp. Ronald had a special place in his heart for animals. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Karen Boston, in 2005; and his grandmother, Anna Sipus.
Surviving are his brother, Gerald Uravage, Harveys Lake; nephew, Joseph Boston, Wilkes-Barre; niece, Jill Leono, Kingston; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. He will also be sadly missed by his best friend, Paul.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will follow in Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Trucksville. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ron's name to the SPCA, 524 E. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
Jerome F. Pollick of Swoyersville, passed away March 21, 2023, at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center, Manhattan, NY.
Born June 25, 1936, in Kingston, He was the son of the late Joseph and Rose Charnecky Pollick. Jerry was a 1955 graduate of Swoyersville High School, and served with the United States Army Corps of Engineers from 1959 - 61.
He was employed by the PA Department of Natural Resources at Francis Slocum State Park. He was a member of St. Monica Church, Wyoming, and a 3rd Degree in the Knights of Columbus, Council #3987, Luzerne. Jerome was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener, and sports fan.
Surviving is his Wife, the former Patricia Kader; Son, Jerome J. Pollick and his wife, Anita of Swoyersville; Daughter, Bridgett Zimmerman and her husband, John of Kingston; Grandchildren, James A. Pollick, Briann and Kristen Zimmerman; Great Grandson, Jacob A. Pollick; and Sister, Bernadette Dintinger of California.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 9:30am at St. Monica Parish, 363 West 8th Street, West Wyoming, PA 18644. The Reverend Peter Tomczak, Pastor, will be Celebrant.
