Our Beloved "Cioci", Lillian B. Lewis, 92, of Wilkes-Barre, formerly of Dorrance Township, passed away August 2, 2022, at Allied Services Hospice. Born in Plains Township, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Aniela Kurish Weiss.Lillian attended Plains Memorial High School.
She worked at Gort Girls and Rose-Mar as a sample maker.She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish, Wilkes-Barre, and its Confraternity of Christian Women.She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter J. Lewis in 1991; brothers, Frank, Martin, Walter, and Chester Weiss; sisters, Mary Zaniewski, Anna Borowski, Helen Boras, and Ceccelia Katsak.
Lillian is survived by her niece and caregiver, Monica (Ernest) Jendrzejewski; nephews, William (Kathy) Katsak and David (Phyllis) Katsak; 12 more nieces and nephews; a multitude of great, great great, and great great great nieces and nephews; and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10:00am in Our Lady of Hope Parish, 40 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. The Reverend Joh S. Terry, Pastor, will be Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Friday morning at the church from 9:00am until the time of Mass.Arrangements are by the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.
