Keith J. Cavanaugh, of Kingston, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. Born October 31, 1974, in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of Carol Flannery of Kingston and the late John Cavanaugh Sr.
Keith was a 1993 graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Wilkes-Barre, and a 2016 graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
He proudly served his country as a United States Navy Veteran of the Iraq War. Keith enjoyed comic books, baseball cards, Abe's hot dogs, and watching television.
He loved playing sports with his daughter, Kate, when he was healthy. He was preceded in death by his father, John Cavanaugh Sr.; brothers, John "Buddy" Cavanaugh Jr., and Christopher Cavanaugh; and sister, Denise Cavanaugh.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Carol Flannery, is his daughter, Kathleen Denise Cavanaugh and her mother, Nichole Gordon of Kingston; sister, Ellen Terry Sellars of Maryland; and Fiance, Heather Zika of Benton, PA.
Funeral services with Military Honors will be held Saturday at 11:00am in the chapel at Maple Hill Cemetery, 68 East Saint Mary's Road, Hanover Township. The Reverend John S. Terry, will be Celebrant. Family and friends may call Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the Jendrzejewski Funeral, 21 North Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Keith's name may be made to the Wounded Warrior's Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
