Joseph “Joe” Janick, 57, of Wilkes-Barre Twp., passed away on Thursday, Oct. 28th, 2021 with family by his side.
Born October 9th, 1964, in Wilkes-Barre, Joe was the son of Stephen and Ruth Janick. He was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School, Class of 1982. He worked hard throughout his life as a truck driver and, later, as a steel worker.
He loved his family, friends, and most of all, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He could always be found riding his bike with friends, attending bike festivals across the country, and taking care of his cat named Harley. In keeping with Joe’s loving spirit, he was able to give the gift of life through organ donation.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Joseph and Elizabeth Janick. He is survived by his daughter, Nichole Malinovitch McDermott and her husband Brian McDermott, of Hanover Twp.; granddaughter, Angela Malinovitch, of Philadelphia; parents Stephen and Ruth Janick, of Wilkes-Barre Twp.; siblings Ruthann Lyons and her husband Thomas, of Wilkes-Barre, and Lisa Horan and her husband Michael, of Wilkes-Barre; and nephews Stephen Janick and Mike Horan Jr., and Thomas Lyons.
Friends may come to call on Wednesday, November 3rd, at Jendrzejewski Funeral Home from 5-7pm.
