Donna (Atherholt) Perhach

Donna (Atherholt) Perhach, 72, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 30th, 2022, surrounded by her loving family and caretakers. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, on June 14th, 1950, to the late William and Rena Atherholt,

Donna graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1968 and spent her earlier years traveling the country learning and absorbing everything she would come to know as a master in the art of hospitality. Having spent her storied career working in some of the finest dining establishments in the area, you would be hard pressed to find a service professional worth their salt who didn’t learn a thing or two about the craft from Donna. A consummate professional, Donna took great pride in her work and elevated the service of all those around her. Professionally and personally, Donna will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her as a kind, gentle, and selfless soul. A voracious reader, avid gardener, and animal lover, Donna had a passion for words and found great beauty and reverence in everything that surrounded her.

Above all, nothing was more important to Donna than her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her baby brother, Billy. She leaves behind her two loving and devoted children, Autumn Davis (Bill) of Kingston and Bill Kammerer (Chrissy) of Forty Fort, and four grandchildren, Schuyler, Lily, Hunter and Coraline, and brother, Jimmy (Debbie) of Plains.

The family would like to send a very special thank you to the wonderful staff at River Run Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, especially Audrey, Allison, Amy and Devon. The family will be privately celebrating Donna’s life in the coming days and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donna’s name to a local library or the ASPCA.
