Angela “Jeanette” Rapczynski
Angela “Jeanette” Rapczynski, a resident of Fairview Township Mountain Top since 1967, died peacefully on May 24, 2022. Jeanette loved to listen to and dance the polka. During her long retirement she enjoyed attending various polka dances throughout Wyoming Valley.
Her favorite TV program was the Pennsylvania Polka show broadcast on Saturday evenings on WVIA-TV. She was born in Wilkes-Barre Township on January 15th 1925, the daughter of the late George and Angela Matusz Rysz.
In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband John, a WWII veteran who served under General George Patton in North Africa and Sicily. She was also preceded by brothers Walter, Stanley, Frank, Chester and Joseph and sisters Mary Porzuczak, Jule Schott, and Irene Bugay.
Jeanette was a loving mother to her four children.
She is survived by sons Ron who resides in Escondido, CA, Ray who resides in Plainfield VT, Gary who resides in Mountaintop and daughter Judy who resides in Wapwallopen.
Additionally, Jeanette is survived by four grandchildren, Tim Rapczynski from Barre VT., Nick Rapczynski from Tabot VT., John Titus Jr. from Mountaintop and Matthew Rapczynski from Milpitas, CA.
Funeral services will be conducted by Jendzejewski Funeral Home and will be held on Saturday June 4th at 10:00 AM at Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, 4115 Memorial Highway, Dallas, PA 18612.
